If you knew they were coming, surprises wouldn’t startle you.
An afternoon motorcycle ride, meant for nothing but relaxation, provided an unexpected glimpse at a weather spectacle. It felt a supernova. Right at the base of Xiao Zhu Shan, about 30 meters below the fog, we stood just beneath the display. Fog not thick, sunlight streaming through the mist in blasts, it all mixed together. It was an awe, quiet and yet screaming out with the splendor of it all.
You see the same place so many times, yet it just keeps dishing out surprises.
