Another installment of pics from Gar arrived recently.This series features the preparations for Da Nian 30 (大年三十), the last day of the year on the Chinese lunar calendar, in a village west of Kaifaqu in Huangdao.
The day of 三十 was beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. It was a great pleasure
for me to ride around with my camera, taking pictures of people enjoying
the holiday. As China is modernizing so quickly, I treasure these chances
to savor traditional Chinese culture. Beautiful people! -gar
