Da Wei took a couple trips around Qingdao recently and came back with these thoughts and some pics.

Well, I never found the Wanda Studios but I did find Huangdao District. It is called “Yellow Island”, but it is not an island. More like a peninsula with the longest water bridge in the world. (26.4 miles). As you can see, I took the Jiaozhou Bay Tunnel. It only took 6 minutes on the electric bus #2. When I was there in 2013, it was not as developed as it is now. Downtown has grown and the large apartments are everywhere. Many are still empty waiting for renters or buyers.

Today I went to the Qingdao Museum (in Laoshan district near Old Stone Man) and forgot they close on Mondays. After lunch, I decided to head to the beautiful Stone Man Beach. There is a large rock that looks like its name. I still can’t see it? As you can see, it is not crowded. Wait until July 1st. School will be out and travelers will fill all 6 beaches and the hotels will be full. I thought I’d leave you with an old resort hotel and the new Hyatt. Both have their own unique beauty.
