Qingdao Eagles 106 – Jiangsu Dragons 97

After a long and rocky start to Tracy McGrady’s first CBA season, he finally can celebrate his first win as a Qingdao Eagle. The win even came on a special night for the Qingdao Eagles (Double Star), as the club celebrated it’s 9th birthday.

Qingdao held the lead almost the entire game and had six players score in double figures. McGrady continued his strong play scoring 24 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, and dishing out 6 assists; Chris Daniels was the Eagles leading scorer with 26 points and completed his double-double with 11 rebounds. Overall the Eagles finally looked comfortable on the floor together and seem to be getting used to new acquisition Chris Daniels, who can finally take some pressure off McGrady as another offensive threat.

McGrady continued his strong play scoring 24 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, and dishing out 6 assists.

The Qingdao Eagles are currently 1-12 and in last place, so they have some work to do before they can even think about the playoffs. Hopefully, this win will boost the morale of the team and produce a winning streak longer than our losing streak.
