Qingdao University

Known in Qingdao as Qing Da, (not to be confused with the other “Qing Da”, Qinghua University).

Qingdao’s Qing Da is a comprehensive university with a student body of mostly Shandongnese and foreign students from places including S. Korea, Japan, US, Canada, UK, and Germany.

QDU maintains sister school relations with universities including California State University – Long Beach (CSULB) and Missouri State University in the US, Kangwon National University in S. Korea, and Universität Bayreuth in Germany.

Ocean University of China

This key school, a charter member of the 211 project, is known as the best college in Qingdao.

Known in Qingdao as Hai Da, Ocean University of China has campuses in Maidao next to Qingdao University, and in the Songling Lu area in Laoshan district.

The original campus on  Daxue Lu is said to be the nicest college campus in Qingdao. The campus is reminiscent of Western colleges with classic architecture and old growth trees.

Ocean University’s main campus is on a list of China’s 10 most beautiful campuses.

Qingdao University of Science and Technology

Previously called the Chemical Institute with its main campus in Sifang district, this school is now has a newer campus near Songling Lu in Laoshan district, near 2 Middle School.

Also known as Ke Ji Daxue.

Qingdao Technological University

Known in Qingdao as  Li Gong Da Xue, Qingdao Tech used to be the Architectural Institute of Qingdao.

Campus locations are on Shandong Lu in Shibei district and a branch campus  in Laoshan district.
