Travelers have a new budget choice for direct flights between Singapore and Qingdao – Scoot Airlines is now making the 5 plus hour journey for less. Scoot also flies to Shenyang (Liaoning province), Australia and Japan. The opening of the route follow a months long delay.
Scoot is the only low-cost carrier to fly directly to Qingdao and the only wide-bodied service to Shenyang.

SINGAPORE – Budget airline Scoot today introduced a new route to two new destinations in China, after facing a delay in the launch.
It will operate flights to Qingdao and Shenyang three times weekly.
The first flight out of Singapore Changi Airport was at 1.30am. It arrived at Qingdao International Airport at 7am, before taking off again to Shenyang at 8.30am and arriving at 10.15am.
The return flight leaves Shenyang Taoxian International Airport at 11.20am the same day, and will eventually arrive in Singapore at 8pm after the stopover in Qingdao.
The airline had to previously cancel flights booked between Nov 27 to Jan 8 due to a delay in regulatory approval. Customers who booked flights on those dates were given cash refunds or travel vouchers.
