Lin Mei (梅林) was born and raised in Qingdao. She studied art from the age of 5 and attended Number 6 High School (Guanxiang Er Lu in old town) to continue her art journey.
She later majored in environmental art design at Jiangnan University.
Lin Mei has since worked in Beijing and Shanghai, as well as studied animation and graphic design in Australia.
She credits Melbourne as the city which encouraged and inspired her to create more artwork.
Her favorite bookstore in Qingdao is the Xueyuan Bookstore located on Gaomi Lu (behind the Dongfang shopping mall on the corner of Jiaozhou Lu and Zhongshan Lu).
Plein air drawing in Badaguan is her long time habit.
