Qingdao Turket Trot
QDHHH Run No. 355 – Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 -& Post-Run Potluck Dinner/BYOB at John’s

Hares: Flipper Over “Shannon” & John
Costs: RMB 10 for bus and beers

Dinner: It’s a potluck! Bring some food/ drink to share if you can, we’ll all gather together in John’s apartment and have a great meal!

Meeting Place and Time: **Winter start time** – meet at 1 PM at Crowne Plaza for a 1:15 SHARP hare-off.

Or, hop on a west-bound bus (31/ 304/ 321/ 501…) and jump off two stops later at city hall 市政府.

Run starts when we reach the start point, approx 1:20-1:25.

Hare/s say:
On the fourth Thursday of November, Americans gather together and feast, usually on delicacies such as turkey and potatoes and pie. Friends and families come together to expand their stomachs, to celebrate relationships and give thanks for all of the wonderful things that have occurred over the past year. And the only thing better than celebrating Thanksgiving once on Thursday* is to do it again!

Saturday we’ll go for a run. Most of these places you’ll have seen before, but it’s always fun to go for a run with friends. We’ll visit the ocean, some city streets, probably go up some hills. It’ll be an A-A run, starting from the bus stop nearest nearest May 4th square, at city hall 市政府, beginning around 1:25.

After we work off some of the extra calories from this week, we’ll feast again! John has kindly invited us to his apartment, where there’ll be delicious food. Probably no turkey, as Flipper Over is both uncertain how to cook a turkey and skeptical that it would in her toaster over. Freshly baked cookies are promised (you’ll even be able to shape the dough yourself!) and there might be a pie or two. Plus, we hope that some of the hashers will also share their specialties (convience store shopping can count as a specialty!)

If you want to come for dinner, send an email to rsvp*! Reply to this email or email Flipper Over by clicking here. Include: how many people for dinner and if/ what you can bring.

Sat run, meet 1 at Crowne Plaza or at 1:25 at bus stop nearest May 4th square (city hall)
A-A run. There’s a place to store things/ food during the run if you need.
Potluck dinner. Bring something to share if you can. RSVP needed.

The Fine Print
**We’d love to have everyone, but rsvps are necessary, for silly things like knowing how many plates we will need. And whilst ‘the more the merrier’ is our motto, we also have to consider how many people will fit into John’s apartment.

*FYI- For those looking to feast on Thursday, there’s apparently a party at Lennon bar starting at 7pm with: Turkey, corn, sweet potatoes, vegetables, cranberry sauce – and, as always, inexpensive drinks . LIVE music and loads of fun, head over to Lennon on Thursday 🙂 Yum Yum Yum!

Plan to attend? Please RSVP !
