    Try the Chunhelou on Zhongshan Lu, it’s marked with a 1903 over the door, famous for jiaozi, I think it’s at Zhongshan Lu corner of Baoding Lu.

    Zhongshan Lu 1 Hao is on the the southern end of Zhongshan Lu near Zhan Qiao pier, it used to be the international club in colonial days, they serve Chinese food and Paulaner beer.

    Sure to be plenty others around, those are 2 that I know of.

    Is the old quarter walking distance from the hostel??

    I live in Weihai so don’t know Qingdao all that well
