Well, it was a shame to find that the Gallery 1919 was closed with the slogan ’art does not disappoint’ over the door and actually we did not succeed to find one modern art gallery that features Shandong artists, can anyone advise ?
Hi there, try the Qingdao Art Museum on Daxue Lu, it’s just north of the Dong Fang Hotel near the Ocean University (old campus). I can’t promise that there will be an exhibition when you go, try their website for more info http://www.qdmeishuguan.com
Also, there are various shows around town on a temporary basis, such as the one at the Prince Henry Hotel on Taiping Lu near Zhan Qiao that is happening April 2012, featuring works of Qingdao native Lv Nan.
