The 2011 Qingdao International Beer Festival Opening Ceremony at Tiantai Stadium will be televised throughout China on CCTV and broadcast live in Qingdao on QTV 1 on August 12, 2011. Tickets for the ceremony are priced from 280 – 2380 yuan (RMB) – many fans will be lucky enough to get comp passes via friends and workplace connections. Every year some of the biggest names in the Chinese celebrity universe are booked for the show. Performers scheduled to appear in 2011 include Chinese pop stars Wang Lihong, Chen Huilin (Kelly Chen), former Super Junior star Han Geng, Wang Feng, and CCTV host Da Niu.

Also performing will be Tujia minority singer Aduo (阿朵), whose name is the same as this year’s Rabbit mascot (Duo Duo/朵朵), the “voice of new Chinese art music” Gong Linna and Beijing based Argentinian singer Natalia Passamonti (aka Nati). There will be dancers and singers, capped off by a huge fireworks display which this year can be viewed from Huiquan Square and Bathing Beach Number 1 near the Dynasty Hotel and Zhongshan Park in Qingdao.
